Packages — Overview¶
The Packages section covers the full lifecycle of a package, from the moment it is expected at the warehouse to the moment it is delivered to a client.
Package Lifecycle¶
Logged (expected) → Received at Warehouse → Priced → Shipped → Received by Customer → Delivered to Client
A package can also be placed On Hold at any point before it is assigned to a shipment.
Sub-Sections¶
| Section | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Logged Packages | Search logged packages by date range or ship date, and export the results |
| Held Packages | View packages currently on hold for your account |
| Package Explorer | A single screen to look up any package, at any stage, by date, date range, or shipment |
| Receiving Packages | Mark packages as received at the warehouse |
| Deliver to Client | Scan packages out to a client |
| Reverse Delivery | Undo a delivery scan made in error |
Package Statuses¶
The Package Explorer's status pills reflect where a package currently sits in the pipeline:
- Logged — recorded in the system but not yet received
- Received at Warehouse — physically received and checked in
- Priced — a price has been recorded against the package (independent of its logistics stage — see Pricing Overview)
- Held — waiting, not yet assigned to a shipment
- Shipped — placed in a container and shipped
- Received by Customer — received at the destination customer location
- Delivered — handed to the client
Priced vs. Logistics Status
Whether a package has been priced is tracked separately from its logistics status. A package can be priced while still logged, received, or shipped — pricing never changes its logistics stage.
