Pricing β€” Overview

CustomerManager offers two ways to price packages, depending on how you're working:

Method Best for…
Scan to Price Pricing one package at a time as you physically scan it β€” for example, at a warehouse counter
Pricing Sessions Pricing a whole batch of packages at once (by container, shipment, or date) in a spreadsheet-style grid

How Pricing Works

  • Priced is tracked independently of a package's logistics status. A package can be priced while it's still Logged, Received, or Shipped β€” pricing never changes where the package is in the pipeline. See Package Explorer for how the two are shown side by side.
  • Every price is tied to the package's content record (packagecontent), which is why editing a package's content (see below) and editing its price are handled together on the Scan to Price screen.

The Delivery Lock

Once a package has been picked up by the client, or is actively out for delivery, its price (and content) become locked. You'll see a πŸ”’ lock icon and the fields become read-only. This protects historical pricing from being changed after the transaction is effectively complete.

Editing Package Content

On the Scan to Price screen, you can also adjust a package's content, quantity, and weight as recorded for your customer account β€” separate from the tenant's own recorded values. Leaving a field blank always falls back to the tenant's original value.
